One hour, one instructor.

Somebody watches only you for sixty minutes. It is how every pregnancy, postnatal and injury enquiry starts here, and it is what a surprising number of people book simply because they would rather learn the machine without eleven other people in the room.

When a private is the right answer

You are pregnant or postnatal. This is not optional here — every place inPrenatal & Postnatal is booked after an hour with Nadia Kellner, never before it. Pregnancy and the postnatal year change what is sensible week by week, and the honest answer depends on which trimester, whether you had a section, and what your body is currently doing — none of which fits in a booking form.

You are coming back from an injury. An hour withRuth Ferreira is worth more than six classes of guessing. She will watch how you actually move, tell you which class fits, and tell you plainly if the answer is that you should finish with your physiotherapist before you start with us.

You want to learn the machine privately. Entirely reasonable and requires no justification. Some people find a room of twelve strangers a poor place to be a beginner, and one private before their firstFoundations takes most of that away.

You want something a class cannot do. Sixty minutes on one specific problem — a shoulder that will not behave, getting back to running, preparing for surgery you know is coming.

What happens in it

Sixty minutes

  1. Fifteen minutes of talking

What has happened to your body, what you have been told about it, what you want and what you are frightened of. Nothing physical yet. This is the part people are surprised by and it is the part that makes the other forty-five useful.

  2. Watching you move

Standing, bending, breathing, and then a few things on the reformer at very light spring. Not a test. Nobody is scoring your hamstrings.

  3. A plan, out loud

Which class on the timetable, which day, which instructor, and what to say to them when you get there. Written down and emailed to you the same evening so you are not relying on remembering it.

Book an hour, or ask first

Tell us roughly what is going on and we will come back with a time. If it is pregnancy or injury, Nadia answers it herself.

We reply within one working day. If you asked about pregnancy or injury, Nadia answers those herself, so it may be the following day.

No account, no sign-up, no app. We keep your message and your number so we can reply to it, and nothing else.
